I received a ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review. This was my foray into the Rockstar Romance genre and I have to say it was a excellent way to try out a new genre! This story has everything, romance, suspense, comic relief moments, self-discovery and an empowered heroine. All of my favorite things! There is even a ex military man for those of you who love that element in a hero 😉 I thought that Abby was such an intriguing character, I expected her to be kind of this spoiled, self-entitled princess at the beginning but you soon see that she is so much more. Her journey of empowering herself after some traumatic events was quite refreshing, she could have easily become dependent on Danny and it would have made me not enjoy the book quite as much so I’m really glad that Debra took the story in a different direction.
Danny and the guys were all great characters, strong, moral guys with awesome senses of humor haha. They definitely provide levity after some heavy moments in the story. I also love the relationship between Sophie and Abby, every girl needs a bestie like that who will give you the pep talk to get you to pull your head out of your backside and go after what you want! All in all I thought this was an excellent book! And I may be selfish but can we have a book about Sophie and Connor next? Please and thank you!

New Release: He Found Me Series Bundle By Whitney Barbetti

This is one of my favorite all time series and now you can get it in a bundle! And yes, even though I have the seperate eBooks, and print copies I still bought the bundle! #OneClickAddict. You are going to want to grab this for a weekend read!

Synopsis:He Found Me:

When I was seventeen, I disappeared. I walked out the door of my apartment with a backpack and never looked back. I left the life of Cora Mitchell behind, seeking freedom from my real-life nightmare. But my freedom came with a cost. I lived a fictitious life for the next six years, never letting anyone close enough to see underneath the facade that was Andra Walker. I was content with my simple little life. Until I met Julian. And the moment I started allowing myself to open up, allowing someone to see through the superficial, was the very same moment the Monster from my past would return to find me.

 He Saved Me:

I’ve come to understand that I’ll always find her. She’s my north star, my sense of direction. In her, I’ve found my home. She tells me I saved her. But the truth is, she saved me.

But nothing good can ever last. Andra’s keeping secrets. She’s holding something back. I’m trying, desperately, to anchor her. To let me in, to let me help.

But will all my efforts end up with a ghost of a girl I love?

I’m used to disappearing. Vanishing into thin air, without a trace of who I’ve been or where I’ve gone.

But it’s so much harder to do with a broken heart and no hope for a happy ending. Sometimes the only people who can put all the pieces of us back together are the ones we least expect to. That’s what Julian did for me.

Julian found me. But now, all Six wants is to keep me locked up, away from the world, away from the Monster. I can’t live like that. It’s not living at all. Because I still have unfinished business.

And I’m going to make sure the Monster gets what’s coming to him.

This was an amazing continuation to the Levi and Nix’s story that we begin in Body, Ink and Soul. This book picks up right where that book ended so we don’t miss a beat (and if you remember the cliffhanger that book ended on you are going to be really glad the author made it a smooth transition!) this book has a few more difficult moments in it and it helps strengthen the love story. As they say in the book “you have seen me at my best and now you’ve seen me at my worst” and this story is a good example of love truly conquering all! We see all of our favorite characters from book 1 and get caught up on what is going on in their lives. I could see where there might be more books in this series because there are some relationships that beg to be explored!
There are plenty of the same tingles and warm fuzzies that the first book brought about which sometimes doesn’t happen in a direct continuation novel but I was pleased to note that the same magic I discovered in book 1 was present and maybe even stronger as we see the next chapter in Levi and Nix’s story. I thought this was a absolutely adorable novel! It’s a must have along with Body, Ink and Soul on my purchase a print copy list!

This book blew me away! You know that tingly magic feeling you get when you start reading a book and you know in just a few pages that it is going to own you long after you read the last page? This book definitely gives you that feeling, I laughed, I got the warm fuzzies, I went “aww!” On more than one occasion. Really it has everything, I want to be book bestie’s with these characters. This is a book about finding your soul mate, the friends who become family and growing into your own all in one.
It’s so much more than your typical romance novel and that’s what I love about it, I read almost 300 books a year so in order for me to get the tingly, this book is amazing feeling you know it has to be something pretty special! It sort of reminds me of The Maddox Brothers series by Jamie McGuire but with less drama (haha I know right?) There is still some pretty serious drama in this book but it’s not as explosive I guess is how I would describe it, because sometimes in that series the emotions are all over the place quickly. It has a very organic feel to it its just a natural progression in this story. The reveal at the end was something I didn’t see coming! I figured it might happen at some point in the book but not like it happened. Jaw hit floor, literally! I couldn’t get enough and I am going right in to book 2!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
This is a pretty taboo story and way beyond my comfort zone. If you set aside your feeling at the door and not let your personal beliefs color reading the book and experiencing the story as it stands it is a fascinating story about a woman who is beginning to come into her own, she has been married for so long and immersed in the day to day care for her husband and son that when she begins a job outside the home she is awakened and changed. And so begins an illicit relationship that makes her question the status quo of her life. Cheating in a novel is typically a huge no-no for me. And this is about the only novel I have read until the end that deals with that kind of subject matter.
The characters are rather interesting and we see the push and pull of the should I or shouldn’t I thing and how it eventually wears her down trying to keep up with all the lies until eventually everything comes to a crashing conclusion. While it was not in my comfort zone, I enjoyed the psychological aspects of it and following the internal struggle of Ariane and Luka and how their story progresses throughout the book. There are some twists and turns and important information that is just revealed here and there which is what makes you want to pick up book 2 just to know the whole story.

I went into this book expecting it to be another more scientific based Steampunk/Fantasy book.

You know the type that they seem so dry and caught up on the describing the technology that the story line and characters get lost in the shuffle. With this book though we get an amazing story line, characters that you cheer for and hope that they make it out alive, and just enough description to give you a vibrant setting for all the events to take place.
For me it was the perfect Steampunk novel, while I haven’t read too many in this genre and I fell in love with it with the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare so far be it from me to say what works and does not work in this genre. I, however know what I love and what keeps me reading it, a story unlike any other and the sky is the limit. One of the strengths of this book is definitely the relationship between Ardis and Wendel, I love the snarky bickering back and forth and the will they won’t they? Aspect of it all. The mystery and exotic locations drive the story and constantly make you want to keep reading just to see what happens and where they go next. Quite a few twists and turns and some shocking moments in this book that I didn’t anticipate made me a very happy reader chick! I will definitely be starting book 2 in this series soon!

Fate kept placing Emma Campbell and Jake Fox in each others paths.

Fate also kept putting overwhelming obstacles in their way.

What fate didn’t realize is that Jake and Emma share a connection that is stronger than circumstance.

An intense bond that threatens everything they thought they knew about themselves, one that is only made stronger by a perfect day.
A perfect day where they both surrendered to the force of their feelings for one another.

A perfect day that ended in darkness and tragedy.
Jake is missing.

Emma is lost.

Lost in grief; lost in hopelessness.
Will fate finally grant them a chance to be together or will it tear them apart?
This is the second part in the “Love by Numbers” series and is a continuation of the story that began in “Nineteen”.

It is not to be read as a standalone.

*Suitable for readers 18+ due to scenes of a sexual nature*
