I am a brother.
I am an artist.
I am a student.
I am her student.
She was my first.
First infatuation, first ‘real’ kiss, first love, first…..
I gave her everything, including my body and would have given her more.
I gave her ‘I love you’ ….she told me her heart was filled by another, there was no room left for me.
We could never be.
What we did was wrong.
It didn’t feel wrong to me.
The deepest hurt is a love that you cannot have. It will last the longest, cut the deepest and feel the strongest.
It is an imperfect love; a disfigured circle that never ends.
You cannot control it; it’s as simple as blinking and just like blinking the more you try to stop it, the more the pain consumes you.
This is book 3 in ‘The Love by Numbers’ series.
Although it contains characters from the previous books, it can be read as a standalone.

Review: Three (Love in Numbers #3) By: E.S Carter
Continuing with the story we have become familiar with from Nineteen and Twenty One this is Liam’s story. He has been one of my favorite characters in this series since we first saw him and I was thrilled when I found out that he was getting his own story. We still get to see the rest of our favorite characters from the other books Jake and Emma and Nate and Liv are all in this story as well but the focus is definitely on Liam and his knight in shining armor complex and even after all these years there is a girl that no matter how hard he’s tried to forget still has a hold on him. No matter how much he tries to fight against it he is just a really nice guy.
He steps in when he finds Halle in one of the clubs he manages after the guy she was with was escorted out of the club and leaving her with nowhere to go. Liam sets her up with a place to go: 2 of the girls who work at the club have a extra room. Setting the stage for what begins as a simple discussion about Bond films leads to her reminding him of the girl who tore his heart out when he was an art student.
A chance meeting with the girl once he returns to his hometown for Jake and Emma’s wedding leads to wonderful book about what really matters in life and going for what you are passionate about and moving on after you experience heartbreak sometimes leads you to the love you were meant to find all along.
I love each of these books! E.S.’s writing style is so descriptive and she dosen’t leave out a single detail so it’s easy to imagine yourself in the club or out on the water with Marco or hanging out with Jake and Emma. This story took so many unexpected twists and turns that we often find in this series that once you started this book you just have to hold on tight and let the story take you where it wants to! It’s a journey I will tell you that! But it’s such a beautiful trip that you want to experience it for the first time all over again!
