*sigh* oh Reagan and Noah! Where do I start? This was my first book by Rebecca I have read and I have to say i’m a total fan! (yes, I know this is book 2 in the series But I’m totally catching up on book 1 as soon as I finish some of these ARC’s) but anywho back to the book! I went in to this book thinking it was gonna be a fluffy college romance (Bahahaha well okay so it is a college romance) and there are some angsty adorable moments sure but I was not aware of how much this couple was going to mess with my emotions! There were moments to where I wanted to shake them both, tell them to get over themselves and be happy but then still other moments where you just want to hang out with them and commiserate that while things suck sometimes love doesn’t always show up under ideal circumstances it’s worth fighting for.

These characters draw you in to their story and Rebecca’s writing style makes it insanely relatable (like I was comparing Noah and Reagan to people I knew in college within just a few chapters) she gives a depth to the characters that you don’t typically find in some of the college romances. She gives us people not just two-dimensional characters. They love and live and breathe right off the pages.

The road to romance for these two starts out with some snarky interactions (which are some of my favorite moments! Some people love the awww moments and while I do love them too I’m all about the spark that snarky interactions being haha) the deeper we get into the book the more we learn about why they are how they are and those are some pretty powerful realizations for each of them.  Its like the light bulb comes on and then certain quirks make perfect sense. All in all if you are a fan of the New Adult genre then this is one of those can’t miss books. Just don’t think it’s going to be a everything is sunshine and rainbows. This is real life haha there are insanely beautiful moments and some moments that are difficult to deal with but love makes it All worth while.

Anything More Than Now Synopsis:

Reagan Landry is months away from college graduation, but instead of excitement, she’s frozen by the fear of letting go — of her ex-boyfriend, of the comfortable life she created for herself in Portland, of the years-long search for her older sister who abandoned her as a homeless teen. When she’s finally forced to decide what’s next, Reagan is met with another complication — her ex’s best friend, Noah Burke, who seems determined that she embraces what could be instead of what has been.

Drunkenly hooking up with his best friend’s ex, Reagan, is a mistake, but being secretly in love with her is so much worse when things seem one-sided. A disenchanted frat boy about to fail out of college, Noah has been living out someone else’s dream after a horrible accident five years earlier. Just when he thinks he’s lost any chance he has with Reagan, she surprises him by agreeing to spend the summer together at his family’s ranch in Montana.

And suddenly what started out as a complication between them becomes serious…until the past starts ripping apart their future.
