Drama. Lies. Sex.

Welcome to Palm South University.

The weather isn’t the only thing heating up in South Florida. At a school where fraternities and sororities don’t exactly play by the rules, relationships are bound to be tested. Parties and sex are definitely key ingredients in the Palm South recipe, but what happens when family issues, secret lives, and unrequited love get tossed in the mix?

Follow Cassie, Bear, Jess, Skyler, Erin, Ashlei, and Adam as they tackle college at a small, private beach town university. Written in television drama form, each episode of this serial will pull you deeper and deeper into the world of PSU.

Where the sun is hot and the clothes are scarce, anything can happen.

Kandi Steiner is a bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.

An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.

When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys live music, traveling, anything heavy in carbs, beach days, movie marathons, craft beer and sweet wine — not necessarily in that order.

I have been a fan of Rachel’s contemporary romances for so long now and a few months ago when I read The Opposite Of You I was just like “wow! We’ve begun a new era of Rachel’s work!” Now that’s not to say her earlier stories were anything less than enthralling but with the first book in this series and now with this one is everything today’s contemporary romance fans have been clamoring for. . . Today’s readers are wanting a more real life type of romance for lack of a better term haha. We want a romance that the story could fall into anyone of our lives and it’s not perfect but the beauty of these kinds of stories is there are bumps in the road for the characters, their road to romance is neither simple or everything falling into place all at once. The struggle is real y’all!
We open the story with Molly, a graphic designer dealing with all the workplace shenanigans all of us have dealt with. . . Her internal monologues are so hilarious that many times I wanted to high five her and say “Amen, Sister!” Now, Ezra is as singularly focused as Molly yet he’s pretty intense, as a successful restaurant owner he is chock full of serious, straight laced responsibility. And well we all know what they say about all work and no play. . . Molly’s main goal in life is to shake things up for Ezra, despite the attraction she feels for him she is at turns annoyed but giddy butterflies in the stomach about him. Opposites do attract in this story. And I was so happy to see Ezra finally loosen up!! These two are pure magic together. The story kinda reminds me of my all time favorite chick flick “Simply Irresistible ” if you haven’t seen that one check it out! So of course I knew this book was gonna be one of my absolute favorites of Rachel’s

There are few series that I look forward to the next book in the series as much as I do this one! With each novel in this amazing standalone series Karla gives us another unforgettable couple that you immediately want to become besties with and invite over for a BBQ. In Michael my love for this series grows a hundredfold.
We knew from the end of Cole that Michael and Brooke were destined to be Kindle melting, sweet, sexy perfection together it was only a matter of time. And boy, did Karla deliver! The book starts out with a candy analogy that made me gigglesnort and want to smack Michael on the back of the head “like really?!” I mean you can’t doubt his logic here but did he really have to put it that way? I won’t be able to look at the Brach’s Pick a Mix Candy bins the same anymore.
But moving on, this book is tied with Cole for my favorite of the series and not just because the two pair so well together. It’s just powerful! I love stories that can hit you right in the feels but Michael hits all of the warm fuzzie moments along with the comedic relief. I’m so glad we got this story to find out that there was so much more to him than we initially got seeing him in glimpses in the other novels.
Btw, I loved Brooke from the first moment I experienced her character . . . I love the brash Italian personality and how strong of a woman she is. . . The brash Italian part reminds me of . . . Wait. . . Someone. . . Yes, me that’s right! I knew I would think of eventually! I loved seeing more of her character! (Can we have like 2 more books per couple please?) I’m such a greedy reader when it comes to Karla’s books.

“Michael,” I said dumbly, like a big dumb idiot. “Wh-what
are you doing here?”
Michael Whitfield was the kind of handsome that made me
twitchy. It was easier to ignore when I’d been a whale of a pregnant person and
he oh-so-kindly informed me that I held no appeal whatsoever to him because I
was on the verge of single motherhood. Okay, fine, that wasn’t exactly what he
said, but he’d been pretty clear that our relationship was platonic.
He smiled down at me, all straight blinding teeth and dark,
scruffy face, the white t-shirt he wore underneath a dark gray hoodie stretched
across his leanly muscular chest in a way that made me feel a little sweaty.
“I’m the cavalry.”
“You are not.”
His eyebrows lifted at my snappish response, but no, no,
nope, all the no in all the world. “I was with Julia when she got your text and
they already had plans.”
I shifted Jacob in my arms and he peered around me at the
tall, handsome man currently annoying his mommy. Well, he wasn’t annoying me,
exactly. But I was annoyed in general and now Michael got to be my scapegoat.
Yay for him. “Why didn’t she tell me that?”
Piper waddled over and gripped her chubby hands into
Michael’s dark jeans. I was just about to apologize when he leaned over and
picked her up with the kind of ease that had me speechless.
Effing speechless.

Well, let’s see … I’m a wife and a mother. I’m a writer who wants to make people smile when they read my words. I own a dog that sheds roughly eighteen pounds of hair every day. I am obsessed with Outlander (both the books and the show). I’m almost exclusively a romance reader, which means some people will never consider me a literary snob. If I could meet one historical figure, it would be Jane Austen. I received my Bachelors in Public Relations and worked in health care marketing before I had my babies. I hate Twitter. I do it, but I hate it. Also, if you want to get on my good side, bring me wine and I’ll love you forever.

I love all of these Kindle Worlds novels and I was so stoked to learn that Elaine was going to be taking part in this series. In Falling For the Dare we get the story of the very intense Danica (who is a undercover officer specializing in protecting her clients. . . ) and international movie star Hunter Marshall (not Danica’s ideal first assisgnment!) but the sparks fly right from the start.
Danica is a tough cookie that’s for sure! But I love that about her character, she’s my type off female character, she’s a strong personality that isn’t afraid to speak her own mind. And Hunter is an equally strong character and that clash between the two makes for an interesting push and pull to their interactions. He wants to take a break and escape the Hollywood lifestyle but some threatening messages are keeping him from enjoying his success. Which leads to his manager to hire Danica.
Needless to say he feels it’s unnecessary but as the sexy chemistry ratchets up so does the danger which leads to a perfect blend of hot spicy chemistry and some pulse pounding, page flipping romantic suspense. This is one of my favorites of the Kindle Worlds Series and of Elaine’s works as well. It was exactly what I was looking for to perk up my summer reading list.

What would you do if you discovered your divorce wasn’t final? (I know my answer to this one!) but in this story we explore every aspect when a couple who was supposed to be divorced suddenly discovers it’s not been finalized.
This isn’t your typical second chance romance, Denise really explores Josephine and Noah’s relationship told through flashbacks and present day. It’s an unflinching look and really delves into all the emotions and picking through what went wrong in their relationship and how they got to that point.
The snow storm seems to be sent directly from God to get these two hurt, stubborn hearts to really explore certain aspects of their relationship. I really enjoyed the fact that they were forced to spend time together and talk about things they might have never discussed the entire time.
It’s a look inside a relationship and a hopeful tone to the store really makes this an enjoyable read, things aren’t sugar coated and that makes this a very real glimpse into a marriage. This is just one of the strengths of Denise’s writing style and it’s shown in brilliant fashion here.
