Review: American Royalty By: Kate Perrin
Royal fever has been running rampant since the announcement of the engagement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and I knew it was only gonna be a matter of time before the shockwaves were felt in the romance novel industry, I loved the cover and blurb of this one so I added it to my TBR pile. This story is one that is so impactful and current that I could not put it down.
The story goes from 2016 and Nicole, daughter of the Presidential Candidate and reporter on assignment in Jordan, during which the unthinkable happens, and 2021 where she is back in the US, a survivor and involved in the political scene. This story brings so much of the political conflict to the forefront like some of the best political thrillers, but it also seamlessly blends with this indescribable love story.
There were times I had no clue what to expect from the storyline, as someone who’s read over 200 books this year with most of them in the romance genre, let me just say I’m hard to surprise! You just have to sit back and let it unfold. Because it is one heck of a story! Gripping, emotional, game changing for how a story with such a huge political influence storyline and romance can work brilliantly together.
